Dvd burner question?

got dvd burner for christmas (Samsung R150) and cannot seem to play dvd recorded off the camcorder....seems to be recording fine and goes through the process as the instructions say but can't play the DVD on my other DVD player.

very discouraged now! how do i get this to work?
