  1. a camcorder try Curry's or dixson.co.uk or pcworld or comet or any other electric device supplier

  2. This article should help answer some of the questions that you may have on DVD camcorders:

    http://www.camcorderinfo.com/d/Reviews&l...

The major down-side of DVD camcorders is the 20 to 30 minutes maximum recording time that can fit on a mini DVD disc.

  3. I wouldn't, if you have a PC and are OK with it go for a camcorder with a hard drive , ( HDD) they are quick and pretty much instant in the functions they offer, they hook up to the TV no problems provided there is a scart or AV sockets all modern TVs will have S-video as well, you would need this if you were going for a Hi def version. anything you record can be edited on the PC and then recorded to DVD, or data disc. You only get about 1/2 hour with a DVD disc, obviously you would have to carry a few if you were on you hols, HDD will take memory cards ( like a digital camera) but as standard will have 30 - 40 GB ( about 20 hours) that you can edit and erase using the camera itself if you wanted to create room on the hard drive, ( its doubtful) all you ever need is the camera.
