Dvd/cdr_rw is not detectable in windows vista...

Question

i was installing power dvd and after that everything failed my dvd/cd_rw is not recognized by my os. i tried to ghange but it was not possible. i also tried to update it but was in vain.it displayed a error massage Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)PLEASE HELP.
