Dvd door will not open. JVC HR-XVC27U door on the dvd side wont open and when the open/close

JVC HR-XVC27U door on the dvd side wont open and when the open/close button is pressed the screen shows "LOC" but when it isnt pressed it shows "READ". What do I need to do or do I need to take it to a repairman to get the door unlocked.
