Dvd drive name doesnt get updated

I have an ASUS laptop with Matshita DVD drive .Vista Home Premium is my Os. Whenever I insert a DVD into the drive it updates the drive letter. The next time I insert another drive the drive name does not get updated. Can anyone help me how to solve this problem ?
