What is a good, cheap type of dvd player you can connect to a projector outside (in Arizona heat...) ??

  1. Hmm, all DVD players do not like over 120° F temps...You MIGHT have to keep it inside, and run RF out to the Projector if you have that capability....

    RF signals can run LONGER distances than plain old RCA Video or even HDMI.....

    But it may not be a choice you have on your projector, as MOST do not have a tuner built into them....

    Now, you MIGHT try HDMI next, but keep it within 30 feet of your TV set....

    Lastly, you can use Component, but once again 30 feet.....

    And you may have to use a Video amplifier over 30 feet....

  2. Outside is fine for any DVD player. Outside in direct sunlight is another story. If you keep it in the shade, you should be fine. So far as brands go, you would do well to stick to name brands. None of them cost very much money any more.

    If money is really a big issue, get a Coby. lol  I've seen them for $29.
