Dvd players and dvd question?

if bought a dvd from ebay that said it's region is all regions, will i be able to play it for definate?

i live in england and the dvd comes from hong kong

  1. Well, you should. If not appeal under ebay policy for mis-selling goods. Of course, harder with the seller in HK...


  2. Most dvd player manufacturers make their players able to play all regions, then set it for where they are going to sell it. It makes them cheaper to make doing it this way. I have in the past been able to google the model name and words "region free" and find unlock codes (usually just a combination of buttons on the remote) and make my players region free.

  3. An all region player is super hard to get, I know I still don't have one. Well one that runs at 60Hz. I have no problem finding 50Hz players. In England you shouldn't have any trouble but check out the frequency it operates at first to make sure it's compatible. In the U.S.  if I had a all regions 60Hz. Player, I'd be super-happy.

  4. If your DVD player is region free,you can play.Most of local seller providing for local use DVD and Player.
