Dvd problem. have a problem with my laptop disc drive. actually when i bought it was working well

have a problem with my laptop disc drive. actually when i bought it was working well with any kind of discs but later on it cant read anymore my DVD R. i have problem retrieving my files i burned in disc. still it can read other disc especially CD and sometimes it can read DVD. i tried other laptops to try the disc if it has some defects but my friends laptop can read them. but when i try it to my laptop some of them will be read but most of them cant be.

my laptop is updated.

whats the problem of my laptop or my drive disc? i dont know how to restore it.
