so i recorded a skit for school. and i really need this footage to edit it. the only problem is that when i recorded it, i did it on a dvd-r which i have never dealt with before. so i expect to just take it out and put it into the computer. then when that didn't work because nothing showed up in the disk. i googled it and discovered that i have to finalize the disk. so i put it back into the camera and finalize it. not know wing that it was such a super serious task . i forget that the battery is low. so while the disk is finalizing i have to charge it and i plug it into the wall. then the camera restarts and it all goes downhill from there. then i went back online because the camera wont let me finalize it again. and i found out its dead. but in my particular case, i can still see the videos on the camera. so i don't know what to do. is there a way to get them or not?

  1. If your computer has a drawer loading DVD optical drive, then you can rip the video from it using HandBrake.

Warning: The video quality will not be good. This is not the fault of your computer or Handbrake - this is the fault of the DVD based video that is high compressed.
