what's the best free download (no charge & not a trial) dvd to mpeg converter

Vista comes with its own ripping software. I have tried several packages and find they are all much of a muchness.

i use a program called "prisim" it can convert videos in to avi, mp4, wmv, asf, mpg, 3gp and mov if this is any help

http://www.dvdvideosoft.com this site can convert into mp4 if that helps. I'm sorry i don't know any DVD to Mpeg. GoodLuck
