Dvd will not play?

just bought this dvd wild hogs and it will not play on my dvd play,this dvd is new.

Is the DVD an original (eg. not burnt or pirated)? If not, then that would probably be your reason. Not all DVD players (particularly big-brand ones like Sony and Panasonic) can play these types.

If it is an original, perhaps there is something wrong with the disk. Maybe just give it a little wipe with a tissue and hopefully, that would fix it.

Another reason could be the region code. Certain DVDs play in certain regions of the world and so, if your DVD has a different region code, then it won't play in your region.

If you bought the Blu-ray version by mistake it won't work unless you have a Blu-ray player.

or maybe you bought the HD-DVD  version.  That won't play either.  Bring it back and get the "regular" DVD version...
