Dvd won't play?

I just bought this new dvd that I haven't seen before. When I put it in my portable dvd player, the player started making those clicking noises and the screen read loading a really long time. I put it in my computer and there was no sign that I put it in, I clicked on PowerDVD and there wasn't an option to start the movie. I put it in my DVD player and the player started clicking and the dvd never loaded. What's wrong with my dvd?

It may not be the correct region code for your unit. Check to see if it is a PAL or NTSC DVD and check your unit to see which it is and make sure both match against each other. Or it may be a bootleg DVD that was not recorded properly.
