Dvinsky in form for tossing a pair of wins by claiming the Watch Royal Ascot On At The Races Handicap (Division I)
The Watch Royal Ascot On At The Races Handicap (Division I) will be held at Lingfield over seven furlongs on Tuesday, 12th June. The race has attracted a line-up of ten four-year and older runners who will contest for the £1,704 prize money.
Leading the line-up is Dvinsky, Stravinsky’s eleven-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Festive Season. He has been active thirteen times during the new season out of which he has bagged only two races.
He started off the season on 7th January in the Blue Square Sprint Series Round 1 Handicap (Qualifier) (Division I) at Lingfield over six furlongs. The race was won by Speak The Truth while finishing the closest to the winner was Efistorm.
Coming at terms with the third position is Glastonberry with Dvinsky finishing fifth right before the 7/2 favourite of the race, Rio Royale.
He missed the next three races and then bagged the first success of the season. He won the William Hill Handicap on 11th February at Kempton over six furlongs. Riding with Tom McLaughlin, Dvinsky led the 9/4 favourite runner up of the race, Sole
Danser, by just half a length.
Reserving the third place behind the winner was Rightcar.
The eleven-year-old has been pretty consistent with his last three attempts, scoring second in two and then claiming the most recent outing.
He was second in the Betfred Home Of The Big Winners Handicap (Division I) on 16th May at Lingfield over seven furlongs. The race was won by Ereka who led Dvinsky by a mere half length’s difference.
The 9/2 favourite of the race, Tenavon, ended seventh on the field of fourteen.
He then maintained the performance by qualifying as the runner up in the UK Homes For Heroes Handicap on 22nd May at Kempton over seven furlongs. The 4/1 favourite of the race, Diplomatic, won it.
His second success of the season was in the Kempton Park For Weddings Handicap on 28th May at Kempton over seven furlongs.
Paired up with Tom McLaughlin, he led the runner up, Perfect Ch’I, by a mere neck’s difference.
His performance through the last three races gives him the edge that no other candidate has.
