  1. Yes, he is a bad representative of Team GB, what would the world think when they see a druggy on our team list???

right decision, the Olympic board have been tough and this is a signal to others that doing drugs will not be tolerated

  2. I suppose it is the right decision - it sends out a clear message to others not to take drugs.

But its a real shame - he has a talent which is now going to go to waste

  3. yes def - he took drugs and now he is paying for his mistake. What message would it give if he was allowed to represent us in the Olympics?

  4. From my purely cynical point of view, I would have kept Dwain Chambers on the Olympic Team - he's gonna win Gold - don't think anyone else comes near him in the 100 meters.

Think a lot of atheletes I've seen on TV from the anti-Chambers camp are shouting - probably because they hope to gain gold instead of he.

Doubt it.  The Great Brit Olympic Squad is c**p and made up mostly of toff who are goofy chinless wonders from the public skools - couldn't run to catch a bus. . . .

Here's Roger Bannister doing the first 4min mile here in UK

problem is the four minute mile had already been done by an Oz bloke a week before.  But he don't count, he was an Oz and working class.

I have no faith what-so-ever in the British Olympic Team or it's Committee - it's all based on class, the Middle Class.  Meanwhile other countries continue to bash UK at all games and sports, why, because they don't give a hoot what class a person is.  If they can run like a gazelle, they're in the team, even if they don't own a pair of running shoes. . . .

  5. Yes...agree with Kamran

  6. He did the crime, now he does his time.

Why should a cheat represent us at the Olympic Games.

  7. yes it is.

it sends a loud & clear message to those who may also be tempted to cheat.

once a cheat always a cheat & getting ANY ban over-turned at a later date is futile.

    they're entirely correct & I agree with the judges 100 %.

    common sense 1 & Mr Chambers  0.

  8. If he still wants to run in the games then go back to the west indies and run for them.

  9. yes

  10. yes, if he was allowed to run it would set a bad example to up and coming athletes that you can take drugs and get away with it

  11. does anyone care, with all the other news thats going on

  12. It is the perfect decision.

If we say that a rapist or murder should get life and that "life" should mean "life", then it was the perfect decision.

  13. I don't know & not sure if I really care. Cheating is dispicable.

Well we won't win Gold now that's for sure. Our best effort came second to him in the trials.

    Ah well.

  14. Yes I think so. He knew the rules and he knew what the consequences would be but he still went on to cheat. It is a shame because he was a great talent but he made his own bed as they say.

  15. If that is the rule and it is consistantly upheld, then yes, it is the correct decision.

There is more here than Dwain Chambers. There are other dedicated athletes who deserve a chance, They would lose that opportunity if Dwain was allowed to participate.

I for the life of me cannot understand why he took drugs in the first place. He is the best athlete..

  16. He chose the streroids over hard work, what type of message does that send out to young wannabe atheletes?

  17. Definitely Yes.

Attention should now be given to those atheletes and competitors who have never taken drugs and never will to help them to compete in the next Olympics.

  18. Yes, he knew the rules and the consequences before breaking them

  19. Morally yes, and repeat Kamran's last paragraph.
