Dwarf Hamster Help!!!!

I just got 2 dwarf hamsters (males) and they live in the same cage. They grew up together and they got along fine, but now one hamster always squeaks and rolls on its back when the other is even near it, and all it's doing is walking by, or sniffing it!!! Please Help!!!!!!!

  1. Hamsters just cannot be kept together.  They are solitary animals and fighting is very common.  They will have to live separately.  


  2. I have two Female dwarf hamsters and they could be just play fighting.. But as soon as you find any injuries on either animal definitely separate them into 2 different cages!! Even though they grew up together there is always a chance that they could fight!! Have fun with your new hamsters!!!

  3. I got 2 yesterday and had the same problem.  I read that they play fight alot and that you should leave them together and keepan eye on them.  If on injures the other or the is blood seperate them.

  4. Are you sure they both are males? Thats what they do when they breed but... If they are fighting then seperate. Dwarfs are very social so Im sure everything will be okay. If you notice a problem then seperate them. Hope this helps!
