Would a dwarf and syrian hamster mate?

  1. They're two different species. It's physically impossible for them to breed, and if you attempt it, they will fight and possible hurt or kill each other. Syrian hamsters need to be kept alone, and dwarf hamsters can be kept with other hamsters but only of the same species. Don't attempt to house Syrians with dwarfs.


  2. No. The Syrian would EAT the dwarf.

  3. You shouldn't mix breeds in the same cage- they'll fight and might even kill each other- just get the same kind or keep them in separate cages.

  4. yes, just like dogs and cats, they mate with diffrent breeds.
