Dwarf bearded iris?

Question

I have one that has bloomed and the others are starting to grow but i was just wondering when they are actually supposed to bloom. my tall iris' bloomed a while ago and flowers died off when we had all the 100 degree temps. The one bloomed a few weeks ago and died off and it looks like all the others are getting ready to go now, so when is the actual time for them? Maybe they are not what i think they are if they are starting to grow the stem now.....

I think the dwarfs are supposed to bloom earlier than the regular tall ones.  But there are several classifications, even something called miniature dwarf (?).  Here is a web page.  http://www.irisgarden.org/beardedclasses...

There are also miniature talls.  I think you have to measure your iris, and then compare it to the chart.  Here in Zone 6 my tall beardeds are supposed to bloom in June-July.  I have some 4" irises that bloomed back in April.  Good luck with the irises!
