Is there anyway to save these bushes or should I just dig them up and put something else there? I am in zone 7 in Virginia and it has been very dry here and if I had to put something else in its place what would you suggest for a shrub or bush, I wouldn't ming flowers either. Thanks

  1. If they've turned brown, they're not going to turn green again.  They might put out new growth, if the roots are still alive, but boxwoods are very slow growing.

    Best just replace them.

  2. when did you plant them?  If they're in direct sun, they need plenty of water. I put mine where there is less sun - only first half of day sun.

Trim them down, move them and keep them watered well.

Replace with a drought tolerant plant.
