Dwarf hamster?

I got two dwarf hamsters recently and one of the digs into the stuff under it i forgot what it is called lol and i wanna know if this is normal.

its just like a dog it digs and leaves it finds another place digs and leaves lol.............

  1. Not only is it normal, its very healthy and actually vital to the health and well being of your dwarf hamster.


  2. Perfectly normal if he is digging into the bedding. Hamsters are burrowing animals and a healthy hamster is supposed to dig and burrow into his bedding. He is finding ideal place to sleep, to build his nest and to bury his hoard of food by digging into the bedding.

    Always ensure that the hamster bedding in the cage is 2 inches deep to enable them to dig and burrow comfortably to mimick their habits in the wild.

  3. yes it is totally normal i wouldn't worry about it .he or she is properly just digging fir some food it buried or maybe a bit of bedding or maybe just making a bed for its self my hamster does it all the time so does my gerbil lol hope this helped sorry if it doesnt

  4. dude...I like looking at hamsters do that! that is one of the first reasons I fell in love with rodents more than anything...
