Dwayne Bravo feels Super Kings are peaking at the right time – Cricket News Update
The West Indies import of Chennai Super Kings and the hero of their last-ball victory over Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJ-Bravo-c1379 feels his team is peaking at the right time and hoped they make the tournament
playoffs to defend the title for a second successive time.
Speaking to the media reporters after Chennai’s five-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 all-rounder said that they were focused on playing good cricket regardless of the their current
position on the tournament standings.
“We did not have a great start to the tournament but we picked up momentum at the right time,” said the 28-year-old Trinidad all-rounder after taking the Super Kings home in a thriller against KKR with a last ball
six, when the former needed four to tie and five to win the game.
“I think we are peaking at the right time…We are very confident of qualifying for the playoffs. We are not concerned with the position in the table. We are only concentrating on playing good cricket,” he added further.
Chasing a target of 159 to win, set by Gautam Gambhir’s Knight Riders, the Super Kings remained favourites till the 11th over, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/M-Vijay-c1867 smashing the KKR bowlers for sweetly time
boundaries. However, Sunil Narine’s double strike in the 11th over, sacking both the openers, brought the hosts back into game.

However, it was a safe sailing for the tourists until skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RA-Jadeja-c2238 scored three
runs in next two balls before leaving it up to Bravo to score the match-winning five runs of the final two deliveries. The West Indian missed the fifth ball but compensated that with a blistering six off the final ball of the chase.
The Trinidad all-rounder also lavished praise on KKR bowlers, especially compatriot http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sunil-Philip-Narine-c91869 for their fight till the last ball of the day.
“The credit goes to the KKR bowlers for stretching us till the last ball. They bowled fabulously,” said Bravo at the post-match presentation ceremony.
“Narine is an exceptional bowler. He pegged us back with two vital wickets and brought KKR back into the game. But we held onto our nerves at the end,” he added further.
