Dwayne Bravo wants Chennai Super Kings to finish with all-win record at home – IPL News
West Indian all-rounder, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJ-Bravo-c1379, has said that his team, Chennai Super Kings, is keen to finish their Indian Premier League campaign with an all-win record at home.
The Super Kings sealed their sixth consecutive home victory by beating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils in the 56th IPL game on Thursday, May 12, 2011.
Mahendra Singh and company thrashed DD comprehensively by 18 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, last night. Dhoni smashed an aggressive innings of 63 runs from just 31 balls and steered his side to reach a formidable total of 176 in the allotted
quota of 20 overs. Later in the match, the Chennai bowlers continued with the same momentum and restricted DD to a score of 158.
Bravo, who played a key role in his team’s triumph against Daredevils by taking two crucial wickets and a stunning catch, said, "We are looking at the other home game (their seventh and last in the league phase). It is a tremendous feeling and we want to
finish it off with an all-win record at home."
Heaping praise on Dhoni’s cool and calm captaincy, the flamboyant all-rounder cited Chennai side as lucky for having wonderful captain like Dhoni and described Indian wicket-keeper batsman as a level-headed leader who knows the game very well.
On Chennai’s win against DD, Bravo explained that the Daredevils had a chance early on in their innings, but they kept losing wickets on regular intervals which helped Super Kings to put more pressure on them.
Due to recent five-match one-day series between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, Bravo joined his IPL outfit after half-way mark in the tournament. However, the explosive batsman, who played only his second game in the competition on Thursday, stated that he has
settled down well in the Chennai set-up.
"So far it has been great. The management staff and the players make me feel at home. I was back home when the team progressed and it makes easier when you played with some before and playing with some now."
Meanwhile, Bravo expressed that the players have been playing like a well gelled unit and the environment in the team is quite wonderful.
