The West Indian all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo, is happy with his recent performances in limited-overs cricket but expressed his desire to regain a place in the Test team.
The 28-year-old made his way to international sport in 2004 and since then he has been a permanent member of the Caribbean limited-overs side. The all-rounder has also played 40 Tests for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 but since December 2010, the Trinidadian has not played
the longer version of the sport.
Bravo is considered as one of the finest all-rounders in international cricket at the moment but there is a general perception that he is yet to unleash his true potential.
The hard-hitting batsman currently represents Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and played a massive role in the franchise’s success in the fourth and the fifth season.
Bravo understands that he has so far under-achieved in his career but is geared up to make amends in future. The medium-pacer hopes that he will return to the Test team for the upcoming series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 at home.
"I still have a lot to achieve. It's beyond my control but I'm available to play all forms of the game and we'll just see how it goes after these five ODIs. Hopefully something will happen. If not, I'll continue pushing and pressing for my spot," he expressed.
Bravo has already scored more than four thousand runs at the ultimate level of the game with four hundreds. On top of that, he has more than 250 wickets to show for his credentials as a world-class cricketer.
The all-rounder further added that he never allows his nerves to get the better of him and revealed that he is working extremely hard to perform consistently in international sport as well as franchise cricket all around the world.
Bravo said, "(I'm under) no pressure. I am able to perform once my mind is at ease and I'm happy and relaxed, and am able to express myself and enjoy my cricket. I've been putting in a lot of hard work."
The five-match ODI series between West Indies and New Zealand will begin today and Bravo would be looking to regain his Test spot by doing well against the Black Caps.
