After beating Hyderabad in the tournament Eliminator, Rajasthan skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229 had said that the pressure will be on Mumbai Indians when the two teams meet in the Qualifier 2 on Friday, since they have a number of big players in their squad and cannot afford losing the match.
“Mumbai Indians are a very good side, in some ways the pressure is on them. With so many big players in their side, it won't be good if they fail to win. In many ways we have a moneyball team and will look to get going at Eden Gardens,” Dravid had said after the victory against Hyderabad.
However, MIs hard-hitting West Indian import Dwayne Smith said that Mumbai and Rajasthan will be equally under pressure, since both the teams will be vying for a spot in the tournament’s grand finale.
“I guess for me it’s just like any other match, where I just go out there and get the work done in practice and perform in the game,” said the 30-year-old Barbados top-order batsman while speaking to the tournament’s official websihttp://www.senore.com/Cricket/Thomas-George-Burrows-c93472e, ipl.com on Thursday.
“I don’t try to rate the game bigger than what it is. We just have to be confident and work together to turn in a good performance again,” added Smith while highlighting his approach to this game.
Both Mumbai and Rajasthan qualified for the top four with 11 and 10 wins respectively, but Rohit Sharma and company was ranked ahead of the latter owing to their superior net run rate. The winner from Friday’s Qualifier will play two-time IPL Champions Chennai Super Kings in the final, at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, May 26, 2013.
