Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Zach Randolph: Noticeable players from NBA’s 1st April games
As the season is heading into the playoffs, most teams are coming up with their best performances, while others are playing for fun’s sake. 13 contests were held, which included a spectacular display of performance from 26 different teams. Here is a review
of some of the noticeable performances from games played on 1st April:
Collison- Pacers seal 5th seed in playoff berth
In a fateful game that earned the Indiana Pacers fifth place in the playoff berth, Indiana’s Darren Collison played a vital role, leading with a 22 of 29 shooting from the field in the previous three games. The player scored 11 points, and dished out team
best seven assists in over 36 minutes of action.
Howard’s 26-14
Dwight Howard carried out a superb game as usual and increased his season shooting percentage to .598. The player scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while finishing the game on a 10 for 14 shooting from the field as his team routed the Charlotte Bobcats,
89-77.
Young’s tenacious off the bench game
Thaddeus Young dominated with game high 22 points from off the bench. The player finished on a 9 for 12 shooting from the field, and pinned 4 of 4 free throws in 23 plus minutes.
Blatche’s career highs
Andray Blatche had his career’s most spectacular night, as the player tallied career high 36 points and 19 rebounds, out of which 16 of them offensive. The mercurial player was 15 for 32 from the field, and also notched 6 of 9 free throws in the Wizards’
big win.
Boozer- Detroit Pistons
Carlos Boozer had an all rounder performance for the Carlos Boozer. The player poured in 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds, tied his season best seven assists, and took three steals on 36 plus minutes.
Crawford’s off the bench 20
John Crawford gave one of the day’s most tremendous performances. The player came from off the bench to clinch 20 points, and grabbed five rebounds in 33 plus minutes. He also added 10 straight points by having a good grasp on the ball. He started with two
straight three-pointers, a driving jump followed by two free throws shot in a row, closing with a driving jump shot.
Miami’s Big Three
The Big Three were hot again. The Miami Heat’s hot trio contributed 83 of the total 111 points. Dwyane Wade scored 32 points and finished on 14 for 21 shooting; LeBron James chipped in 27 points and dished out 10 assists, whereas Chris Bosh contributed 24
points to go along with 11 rebounds in the amazing victory.
Randolph’s 28-10
Zach Randolph pushed his team ahead to uproot the New Orleans Hornets scoring 28 points in an 11 for 19 overall shooting from the field. The player also added 10 rebounds and seven assists in 39 plus minutes of action.
OKC as a team
The OKC played tremendously well. The team notched the first initial shots that came their way, and in doing so took a whopping 16-8 lead over the opposition. Oklahoma recorded a .564 shooting percentage in the opening half of the game as they dominated
the opposition with a 59-53 score.
Nuggets as a team
The Denver Nuggets played tremendously. They had six players scoring in double digits on way to a 99-90 victory over the Sacramento Kings. Nene Hilario had a double-double, whereas Raymond Felton scored the highest from off the bench.
