The Lakers big man wants to avoid another fiasco and is content on waiting till next summer .....

 The common perception around the world of basketball is that Dwight Howard, after going through a yearlong saga regarding his departure from the Orlando Magic, would certainly be staying with the Los Angeles Lakers beyond next
season.
However, the big man who is currently rehabbing from a back surgery does not want to make a decision any time soon and certainly not another fiasco;
“I think the best thing to do is talk about it at the end of the year,” Howard said. “We just went through that last season, basically, and I don’t want to go through it again or see anyone have to go through it.”
This does not mean at all that he will be leaving Hollywood any time soon. But Howard at the moment is settling in well with the team and does not want to make any commitments till the end of the season.
“This is going to be my decision, and I’m going to wait till the end of the year. But I’m happy to be in L.A. This is a great place. I love the coaching staff and I love the organization for everything they’ve done for me since
I got traded here.”
Another main reason for keeping Howard in Hollywood is the promise of winning a championship – something he was not able to do in his time Orlando as he gears up for a season with Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash.
But there would be no reason bigger than the fact that the Lakers will look to him to become the face of their franchise when Bryant finally decides to hang up his boots. Howard himself is very accepting of that fact.
“Hopefully I’ll have a long career here in L.A.”
