Dwight Howard re-iterates his love for China– NBA News
The Orlando Magic centre, Dwight Howard, has repeatedly shown interest in the past, to play in China provided the lockout doesn’t end anytime soon. Howard has recently, once again, expressed a similar desire.
It is not just the game but the people as well as the place itself, which has strongly attracted Howard to the Asian country. “I love going to China and talking to the fans.  Even though I don’t know much Chinese, I can understand
a little bit.” stated an excited Howard.
Many players are considering moves to International leagues as the lockout saga maintains a log jam. Deron Williams had already made a move to Turkey, with others like Bryant and Durant also eyeing European leagues.
Dwight Howard, on the other hand, has reportedly made it clear that in case he makes an international move, it will most likely be to China. He explained that he wants to go to China to continue to work on his game and maintain
focus.
Dwight Howard was further asked whether he wanted his teammates to move to China with him as well, to which he blatantly replied that such was not the case and his priority lied with none but the Orlando Magic.
“The biggest thing is making sure we’re on the same page for next year,” the Magic centre stated.  Although Howard expressed extreme fondness for China, he claimed that his move was motivated by a desire to stay in shape for the
next NBA season. “We don’t know when the season’s going to start but we’ll have a slight advantage over teams if we work hard now.”
However, the only main concern for Howard is injury, something which has many players confused as to whether they should tread into the International arena or not. Apart from that, Howard has loads of fans in China and a move there
is expected to bear fruit for both Howard and the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
Of late, Dwight Howard has been busy training to keep his fitness. He recently returned from Houston, where he was busy training with the great Hakeem Olajuwon in order to cater to confidence as well as clutch situation issues.
“The mechanics. The things that make a difference in the fourth quarter,” he said.
Howard is currently hosting his annual Dwight Howard Basketball Camp, which will go on from August 1-3 at the UCF arena in Florida and is expected to be a success, similar to previous years.
