Dwight Howard takes a jab at LeBron James: NBA Update
The critics have been already hard to handle for LeBron James ever since he and the Miami Heat were knocked out by Dirk Nowitzki and his Dallas Mavericks.
Now, Orlando Magic centre Dwight Howard has jumped in from nowhere and has taken a jab at James, On Wednesday, Howard made a mockery of James rescinding hair-line on his social networking website account.
The three-time Defensive Player of the Year passed these comments on James:
“Lol he took his talents to south beach but left his hair line in Cleveland lol,” and clarified himself with the next comment, “lol bron my dude jus had to make a joke”
Looks like everyone is after James nowadays. First, he had to face loads of criticism for not being an aggressor against the Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association Finals, as he chocked at a crucial stage of the
tournament once again.
However, making a joke about his rescinding hair-line was not valid, infect it’s where Howard has violated the limits, since this thing is beyond James control. Such kind of comments was not expected from a player of Howard’s calibre.
Many believe that James deserves criticism, as his disappearance in the finals cost the Heat title, though his team-mate and friend Dwyane Wade gave a tough time to the Mavs, but in the end it was not enough.
The criticism did not come just over his poor performances, but more over his miss steps which came often when he goes public. First one came when he did an interview program in association with a sports channel last year called
“The Decision”. In that interview James revealed that he was leaving Cleveland Cavaliers for Miami.
This caused a lot of raged against James in Cleveland and the owner of the Cavaliers Dan Gilbert had even said that LeBron betrayed them.
This year after losing the NBA Finals, James came out and tried to put a leash on his bashers saying that his critics will have same problems when they woke up next morning, they can go on for few weeks or months, but that wouldn’t
affect him and he will continue living the way he use to.
However, James didn’t deserve this mockery. This must have hurt the big fellow. Dwight might have forgotten that when Hall of Famer Michael Jordan was in James age, he had same amount of championship rings as LeBron have now and
moreover his hair was much less than the veteran forward in the same stage.
However, when the legendary player ended his career, he won six NBA championships, six NBA Finals Most Valuable Player awards, five NBA MVP honours and many more. James haven’t won any championship ring, but as a player he has
proved that what he can bring to the table and 26 year old forward has still a long way to go.
Ups and down come in every player’s life, but the ones who shut their critics with their performances on the court, are considered the real champions. So James should also focus on this fact rather than making silly public comments.
