Dwight Howard to Brooklyn Nets still possible – NBA Report
While going through the free agency period with a lot of speculated transfers in place, several teams have been looking to revitalize their rosters for next season. One team that has been the busiest on the transfer market are
the newly formed Brooklyn Nets.
They have already confirmed the re-signing of point guard Deron Williams and have reportedly agreed to bring in Joe Johnson over from Atlanta Hawks in exchange for five of their players with expiring contracts.
Now according to the recent saga involving Orlando Magic`s centre Dwight Howard wanting to be traded over to the Nets, a chance to bring together a new big three in the Eastern Conference is looking very likely.
Even though, no possible trade is looking eminent at the moment, however according to recent speculation, Brooklyn are looking for a trade that would involve Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks and a few first round picks
in exchange for Howard.
As part of the deal, Lopez and Humphries will be moving away to the Magic on sign and trade and the South Florida franchise would also be receiving the Nets first round picks in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
If this trade is successfully materialized, the Nets would get their hands on three of the best players in the NBA and with Gerald Wallace already secure among the ranks, they would certainly be strong playoff contenders in next
season.
This trade will also be putting an end to the Dwight Howard chapter with the Orlando organization, one which has been going on for too long now. Howard has repeatedly been asking to be traded to the Nets since December and made
his latest demand of the move last week.
Orlando are also believed to be looking for possible suitors for their franchise man.  They have a lot of options to consider before the summer is out and can benefit from letting go Howard.
The strongest suitors who have been linked with the trade for Howard are the Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks and the Houston Rockets. The Lakers can offer Andrew Bynum in exchange for Howard, Hawks can include Al Horford and
Jeff Teague as part of the trade while the Rockets can bring in ‘superman’ in exchange for several of their first round picks.
