Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh: Top Performers from 11th May playoff semifinal games (Part 1)
Dwyane Wade
Dwyane Wade has been the key reason of Miami Heats’ dominance over the mighty Boston Celtics in Eastern Conference semi-final series. On Wednesday night, the shooting guard showcased yet another brilliant performance and this time,
he not only thrashed the C’s out of the game but also knocked them out of the playoffs. Wade racked up a game-high 34 points, clutched 10 rebounds and handed out 5 assists to lead his team for a comprehensive 87-97 victory and a spot in the Eastern Conference
finals.
Wade started off with 11 points in the first quarter as he kept the surging C’s in check. Wade continued to provide fireworks in the second quarter and smashed the opposition with 12 points. The Celtics however still managed to
take a two point advantage into the break.
This did not affect Wade though as he continued to carry his team until LeBron James took over in the final minutes of the game. Dwyane was quite instrumental from the charity stripe as well, burying 8 free throws, the highest
in the game.
LeBron James
On Wednesday night, LeBron James finally exorcised the demon that had haunted him for long. LeBron James posted another outstanding performance as he scored 33 points, grabbed 7 boards and dished out 4 assists to put the Heat on
the frontline. James was incredibly commanding down the stretch and scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to deliver the knock-out punch.
The 6ft 8 in small forward buried five blistering blows from downtown, connected more than 50 percent from the field and landed 6 free throws as he ripped Boston apart.
Glen Davis, Boston’s reserve small forward summed up Wade and LeBron’s performance on the night. "D-Wade, he made it real difficult," Davis said. "He came through. He carried the team. He willed them to win. He carried them just
long enough for LeBron to knock us out."
Chris Bosh
Although it is the duo of Wade and James who continue to steal the spot light, power forward Chris Bosh quietly continues to provide support. On the night, the big man erupted with a magnificent double-double, scoring 14 points
and gathering 11 rebounds.
Bosh carried the action impressively in the defining moments of the game and it was his thunderous dunk, midway through the fourth, that actually turned the tide in Miami’s favour.
Kevin Garnett
Veteran power forward Kevin Garnett was the top performer for the Celtics as he landed 15 points and clutched 11 boards. However, the big-three of Miami were just too good on the night.
