Game-2: Miami Heat 85 – Chicago Bulls 75
Miami Heat got themselves together after the defeat in game-1, as LeBron James and Dwyane Wade combined for 53 points that allowed the South Beach franchise to overcome the Chicago Bulls in a 85-75 victory in game-2 of the Eastern
Conference finals.
With this win the Heat tied the best of the seven game series 1-1, despite a low scoring fourth quarter (Miami outperformed the Bulls 14-10 in the final 12 minutes of the game).
After the game a jubilant Wade said, "We got that one that we needed. Now, we go home and we've got to take care of business. This team right here is like us. They can win at home and on the road."
Wade chipped in with 24 points fell just one rebound short to thump another game-winning double-double. During his 40 minutes stay on court Wade clutched nine rebounds, provided two assists, blocked two shots and steal one too.
During the game Dwyane was dominated the opposition from the paint, as he hit eight out of his ten attempts and made eight field goals on 16 attempts.
The Heat were leading the Bulls by six points, when the fourth quarter began, before Chicago knotted the scores at 73 within the early minutes of the game.
However, Heat quickly nipped their surge with some quick possessions. Wade boosted the rally, as he was 100 percent from the charity stripe (3 of 3). This effort dented the spirits of the Bulls quite badly as they faded away from
there on wards.
Game-3: Miami Heat 96 – Chicago Bulls 85
This game was termed as the best game of the series, as the both the teams were not letting the momentum slip away and tallied equal points in the two quarters of the game.
Eventually Miami Heat made the breakthrough in the final quarter and handed Chicago Bulls their second defeat in a row by 96-85 on May 22 at the American Airlines Arena, Miami.
Dwyane Wade contributed 17 points in the victory of Miami. Along with the points Wade also grasped nine rebounds and wracked three assists.
Wade played for 39 minutes, during which he went six of 17 from the field and five of six from the free throw line.
During the third quarter the Bulls went ahead of the Heat, but Wade hit one from the paint and tied the score 51-51. Few minutes later made a jump shot on Joel Anthony’s assist and then dipped another with his finger roll that
pushed Miami’s lead to 62-55.
In the fourth quarter Wade stretched the Heat’s lead into double-digit (84-74) with his back to back free throws from the paint. The Heat maintained the lead and won the game by 11-point margin.
