Dwyane Wade does not understand why Miami Heat are labelled as the bad guys – NBA Update
Miami Heat has been under the cloud of constant criticism ever since they put together a star studded line up consisting LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
However, things could not have gone any worse for them as they found themselves facing the Dallas Mavericks in their first season together. And a failure to secure the all elusive NBA Championship put them in front of the whole
world as an example that having star players is no guarantee of success.
While the criticism came naturally to many, there were people who were surprised with the fact as they saw three players with common ambitions to get together to achieve their one-goal.
One of the many surprised people was Miami guard, Wade who feels that the criticism made them feel guilty.
“It was weird. I mean, I’d never been booed before! And I felt like we’d done something unselfish, so for fans to think we’d done something bad was indescribable.”
However, the criticism may have gone down a bit since Miami’s run to winning a championship last season as they got together and worked cohesively to achieve their ambition and silenced everybody.
Miami’s performances last season, especially during the playoffs was undoubtedly one of the best showings put up any team in the NBA as role players continued to excel under the leadership of their three stars, specifically James.
A change in attitude and a whole different approach was seen in the way James took to court last season as he made it his first priority to bring home a championship.
But to many, they still remain as the bad guys and it is common belief that Miami by putting together star players is destroying the game which seems to be becoming a trend in recent years. It all started with the Boston Celtics
formulating the big three back in 2007. And teams like the Los Angeles Lakers have shortly followed suit as they brought in Dwight Howard and Steve Nash over the summer.
The idea of star players playing in a same team is very enticing. But on the whole, does it seem right for all NBA franchises that stay under the salary cap and go about their business. Well, that is certainly a debate that can
go on and on.
