Dwyane Wade erupts for 41 points to help Miami Heat wrap up their series against Indiana Pacers: NBA Playoffs
On Thursday night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Miami Heat came away 105-93 winners to close out their Eastern Conference Semi Final series in 6 games against the Indiana Pacers.
With the win, they also advanced to the Conference Finals for the second year running, and this will be Miami`s 5th Conference Finals appearance in franchise history.
After a horrendous start to the series, Dwyane Wade finally came to life in the last three games. He led from the front in this one by notching up a double-double of 41 points to go along with 10 rebounds in the game. LeBron James
also played well for his 28 points. He also collected 6 boards and dished out 7 assists in the game.
Miami were also in form from long range, much courtesy to Mario Chalmers and Mike Miller. Chalmers finished the game with a 4 of 7 shooting performance which included 3 triples to rack up 15 points in the game while Miller came
off the bench to finish of the night with 12 points; he shot the ball 4 of 7 from beyond the arc.
On the other hand, Indiana had all 5 starters scoring in double figures. Their cause was led by David West who finished the game with 24 points. George Hill played well for his 18 points while Danny Granger was not far behind with
15 points.
Paul George hit three triples in the game to manage 11 points and 10 boards while Roy Hibbert had 12 points in the contest. He also collected 8 rebounds in the game.
On a night in which both teams were pretty evenly matched up on the scores throughout the night, the difference turned out to be the stand out performance from Wade.
Miami’s sharp shooter racked up 26 points in the first half alone and 15 in the second to lead his team past the gritty Pacers. The teams were in a stalemate deep into the third quarter, but a 9-0 run which featured back-to-back
three point daggers from Chalmers and Miller, really took the gas out if the Pacers.
