Dwyane Wade feels bad for Derrick Rose; Wishes him luck – NBA News

Dwyane Wade, fresh off winning an NBA championship with the Miami Heat last season, travelled to his home town of Chicago for the promotion of his new book on fatherhood titled “Father First”, due to be out on September 4th,
and stopped by for an interview with David Kaplan of CSN Chicago.
Kaplan asked him how the Heat locker room reacted when they first heard of Chicago Bulls All Star point guard Derrick Rose’s ACL injury and the fact that he was sidelined for the rest of the season.
"You just feel bad for him. We all deal with injuries and every time you deal with an injury, you hope it's not the big one. You hope it won't end your season. So to see a guy like D-Rose, who was battling injuries all year, minor
injuries, and then it took its toll. And it was sad to see,” said Wade on Rose’s injury.
The Bulls were seeded first in the Eastern Conference ahead of Miami and were tipped to face the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, before crashing out in the first round after they lost Rose.
Wade said that his team wanted to play the best teams on road to an NBA championship and were devastated when they heard that Rose was out for the playoffs. However, he added that he and his team faced a fierce competition from
the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Wade is a long time member of the Miami team, but was paired with the superstars LeBron James and Chris Bosh ahead of the 2010-2011 season to create the “Big Three” of the Miami Heat. That combination helped the Heat capture the
2011-2012 NBA title, but Wade feels that it is not necessary for Rose to have superstars in the Bulls line-up for him to win his first NBA championship, adding that the Bulls have good players and a great amount of depth, which is enough to win a championship.
"I think Derrick has a very good team. You don't need multiple stars to win a championship. Just look at the Detroit Pistons in 2004, they didn't have stars. They had very good players and they had a deep team,” said Wade.
