Dwyane Wade heaps praise on Derrick Rose; Says Chicago Bulls need on more player – NBA Update
Dwyane Wade had some words of advice for Derrick Rose in a recent interview. Wade revealed that he was a big fan of Rose and said that the Chicago Bulls man needed one more quality teammate to reach the next level with his team.
Dwyane Wade plays for the Miami Heat and is a former NBA Finals MVP. For the past few years he played on a very average Miami Heat side and wasn’t able to compete with some of the better teams in the NBA because of a lack of support.
That all changed last summer when Miami enlisted the services of LeBron James and Chris Bosh and returned to the big time in the league.
They made it to the NBA Finals in the first try and met the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals. Whereas Miami’s side had three pillars to build upon, namely Wade, LeBron and Bosh, the Chicago Bulls had just one. That
one was Derrick Rose, who last season became the youngest ever recipient of the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award thanks to his thrilling displays.
However even Derrick failed to haul the Bulls past the dominant Miami side. He was time and again forced to go at it alone as his side simply lacked enough quality, especially on the offensive end. Players like Luol Deng, Joakim
Noah and Carlos Boozer could not give Derrick the support he required to overcome the odds and send Miami packing.
Wade is a fan of Derrick Rose and has seen the ascent of the young point guard for the last few years. Like everyone else in the NBA, the Miami Heat guard has been mightily impressed. He does however know from his own experience
that in this league you can never do it alone. Therefore his final verdict on Derrick and the Chicago Bulls chances of become a genuine NBA title contending force is that they need at least another player,
"They met us in the Eastern Conference finals, and they were one player away from making it a very, very, very tough series," Wade told reporters during an event for his "Wade's World" charities. "Derrick Rose is evolving into
a phenomenal player. You could look and see they're one player away from being there every year."
"It would have to be a player that can take the pressure off him from making every play,"
Wade is not alone in his assessment. Derrick did look overburdened and jaded during the NBA playoffs and most analysts have criticized Chicago’s lack of options on the offensive end as the reason for their demise.
