Dwyane Wade stars as Miami Heat crush Cleveland Cavaliers 107-91: NBA Recap

Miami Heat trounced the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers 107-91 on Tuesday’s eve at American Airlines Arena.
The Heat, standing at the second position in the Eastern Conference, have now won three games in a row, and hold an impressive 12-2 record at home. The visitors did put a resilient show in the 1st three quarters; nevertheless
it was in the last frame where they completely lost control over the game.
The momentum kept on shifting in the opening frame, which was dominated by Miami early as they led 15-8 within the first 5 minutes of the game. However, paced by Alonzo Gee’s 2 free throws with 04:54 in hand, the visitors made
an 8-0 run that placed them ahead at 16-15. But, the lead was neutralized shortly by the hosts as LeBron James scored 5 in a row and Miami Heat led the segment by 28-25.
The second quarter was marked with slight resistance by the Cavaliers, but they were unable to engulf the prior deficit. With 03:06 in hand, Miami made a 14-9 run enroute to a 54-48 lead at the break. Jamison had 20 points in the
first half for the Cavs.
The Cavs strove to redeem the deficit after the halftime, as they made a 9-2 run in the opening moments of the third frame which was reciprocated with Miami’s 7-0 run in the mid of third quarter leaving the visitors further away.
With both teams scoring 24 apiece in the third frame the game proceeded into its final 12 minutes.
LeBron James netted 7 and Mario Chalmers contributed 8 points that included two 3-pointers to cap off the segment as Miami led the game by 6 points, 78-72.
The Cavs were unable to claw off the deficit earlier and the Heat showed no mercy in sealing their fate with an early 14-4 stretch in the decisive quarter.
Cleveland Cavaliers who were now on a double figure trail could only narrow the margin of the defeat as time ran out. The final score Miami 107-91. Dwyane Wade was in the groove with 8 points in that frame.
"The final score was not indicative about how competitive and close that game was”. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra after the game said.” That team is improved. They play hard, they compete. They're a tough team to put away. We did some
things well on both ends of the court, but we did some things to allow them extra possessions to get back into the game.”
Led by Dwyane Wade’s magnificent 26, Miami heat had a total of 5 players in double figure as they recorded their 19th victory of the season. Former Cavalier LeBron James showed no empathy and was his usual enigmatic
self with 24 points. Mario Chalmers who shined throughout the third quarter along with Udonis Haslem, off the bench, had 14 apiece. Chris Bosh barely missing his double-double with15 points and 9 rebounds was the last to contribute significantly in the win.
The Heat netted 46.4% from the floor and an impressive 88.5% from the charity stripe. They committed a total number of 16 turnovers in the game.
Antawn Jamison paced the Cavaliers with 25 points and 9 rebounds; Alonzo Gee had 17 and Kyrie Irving netted 16 points. The only player to hit a double-double in the game was Anderson Varejao with 11 points and 11 rebounds, albeit
that was not enough to avoid the defeat.
