K well i dyed my hair ( professionally) a dark brown but itn turned out darker then i wanted it almost black and i hate it. So i washed my hair a couple times to get some of the color but its still pretty dark, so i did a home hair dye to lighten it and it did a little but not as much as i wanted, is it alright if i go back to the salon and have it done again? or will that damage my hair. And i was also thinking maybe a bunch of really thin highlights of blonde or something so it looks lighter??? thanks please reply soon i need help before school starts

  1. I've dyed my hair numerous times and I can say that dying your hair too many times in too short a space of time WILL make your hair very brittle and weak. I'd say wait around a month or two and regularly shampoo & condition your hair, preferably with a good repairing conditioner. Most salons will wash and condition your hair after it's dyed as part of the treatment.

And you should probably explain to the salon (if you go to the same one) that when they dyed it last time, it was too dark and you want it to be lighter.

  2. It will definitely weaken your hair if you dye it 3 times close together, but your hair might have been healthy enough in the first place to handle that.  Go to a reputable salon and ask for a consultation with a stylist and tell them what happened.  The stylist can make a recommendation based on the current health of your hair as to when you can color it again and just make an appointment for that time.

  3. wait at least 2 months

  4. i will probably damage ur hair if u go for another all over colour so just ask the to lighten up the top layers by putting light brown through it!

    good luck:P
