The QPR midfielder claims that it’s only a matter of time before the Hoops improve upon their away record, which has been far from perfect this season.
Manager Mark Hughes has spent considerably in the last few months or so to strengthen his squad, but the tactician hasn’t been able to get the results he wanted.
Following the arrivals of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Park-Ji-Sung-c29147 and Jose Bosingwa, it was hoped that the Hoops would be able to better their previous campaign and perhaps finally remove the tag of relegation battlers, but that hasn’t happened so far for them.
Devoid of creativity and solidarity when they don’t play at Loftus Road, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 recently showed signs of improvement, but that has yet to reflect on the scoreline.
The squad has been completely overhauled since Hughes’ arrival last year, but Kieron Dyer has managed to retain his place at the helm amidst luminaries such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shaun-Wright-Phillips-c33277.
However, the play-maker is confident of making his mark at the helm and claimed that the club can perform to the best of their abilities if they manage to improve upon their woeful away form.
Speaking to reporters, Dyer said that results against Tottenham and City had showed their calibre, but at the end of the day, it was the scoreline that counted, not the effort.
“I think last season it was definitely a cause for concern. But this year we’ve played the champions [Manchester City] and Tottenham who finished fourth last season, and we’ve given them both a run for their money.”
Continuing, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 International added that while facing weaker teams this term his side could make up for their defeats, but they’ll need some luck to give an extra helping hand.
“On another day with a bit of luck we could have had two results there. I think we have turned the corner with our away form and I think when we play the lesser teams we’ll get a lot of points away from home,” the midfield enforcer was quoted as saying to
the media.
QPR next play Reading in the Capital One Cup.
