Dying bee that I saw last night?

Last night my friends and I saw a bee walking around in circles on the ground and eventually he just started twitching and died. I was wondering if this is an example of the virus that is going around killing bees around the world? I was just told of this last night..

Not sure if it died because of a virus, but I have heard that if a bee stings someone and loose its stinger then they soon die after that.  Maybe that's what happened.

The life of a bee is short.  Once they use their stinger they die.  It  was most likely the natural course of the bee's life, rather than the virus that is killing bees.  The only way to really know is take the bee to have it analyzed.
