  1. The person should have gotten a Dalmation.  This should go under animal cruelty.

  2. "This should go under animal cruelty." Oh, please - it's silly, I'll give you that, but besides the extra attention, dyeing a dog's fur isn't going to affect the dog in any way, shape, or form.

Anyway - what show are you talking about? I've gone to a couple dog shows and have met some people who have dyed their dog's different colors.

Fortunately, we don't get many people who want a dye job for their pooch at the grooming salon I work in.

  3. was it a real dog show like an akc or something?

  4. Cruelty!? Puleese!

The rules pertaining to dog shows state that the color of a dog should never be changed with artificial means.

That said, dogs really don't care what color they are!

He was probably enjoying all the attention, Labs are attention hogs after all!

  5. The only dog shows I've seen that sort of thing at are grooming shows,it is done without harming the dog but just looks unnatural

  6. Is there a question here somewhere...?

  7. Interesting....especially since there is no such thing as a "white lab". Labrador retrievers come in three colors; black, chocolate, and yellow.

  8. that's odd, most dog shows don't allow stuff like that. they want the dogs to be groomed to the typical breeds standards. tail cropping, dew claws removed. that sort of stuff. it may have been the breeds natural pattern.
