Dying hair pink, bleach first?

Question

I'm doing some pink highlights in my hair tomorrow, and been looking around. Everyone is saying to bleach first, but I've already got blonde hair, do I still need to?

It's quite a dark blonde (see pic: http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/4362/facepv5.png ) , and if I don't bleach what sort of colour will the pnik come out? thanks

Your hair is perfect colour for going pink. Leaving the pink dye in longer will make it brighter and more vibrant.

It sounds like your mind is made up, but why?!!! You have beautiful hair .  What if the dye (or bleach) ruins it?  My advice is not to use the bleach and take your chances. The bleach they use to strip your natural color is so harsh it can burn and frizz your pretty hair. Good luck and I hope it turns out the way you want it.

You will have to bleach it if you want it pink. I have dark blond hair and i dyed it pink years ago but i had to bleach it first. After you have finished with the pink highlights you will need a good quality conditioner like Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. It will repair your hair and leave it soft and shiny. If you don't bleach first then the pink will hardly be noticeable.

Your hair is a great color for pink highlights, really!

My hair is about three to five shades lighter than your hair is right now and natural and I can tell you, you don't want that color to show after the pink comes out. With your skin tone it would not look nice at all.

Plus bleaching it does horrible, horrible things. It kills your hair.

you could put the colour straight on since your hair is quite light if you do choose to bleach maybe try not leave it on as long

For the very best result, yes, but your hair will/maybe go dry for a while so use a shampoo for dry hair. if you dye it without bleaching it will be darker then what you probably think.

Your hair is plenty light enough, don't bleach it, it will ruin your hair, at least temporarily, I've bleached my hair before, and at the time my scalp was so sore. I'd avoid bleach and just leave it on a little longer if you're worried about the colour vibrancy

Your hair is a good colour to dye it pink.

It would come out pink.

bleache is used when u have dark hair, like brunette, red or brown

ur hair is perfect to use any type of dye on!!

it will definately come out good
