Question:

Dying my brown hair blonde?

Hiya.

So, at the moment I currently have medium brown hair with some blonder coming through. I was wondering whether it would be easy enough for a salon to get my hair colour to a dirty mousy blonde? Whether it would cause a lot of damage to my hair? Also whether it would be really hideously expensive? I do expect to pay alot but I'm kind of at a budget of about 80 pounds, do you think that would be enough?

Thanks for your help xx

  1. it would cost about 40 here in the states so i would say about 80 pounds. i say you should just do it.. don't worry about your hair being fried go to the store and buy a HOT OIL TREATMENT. works wonders. i use them all the time. also when your hairstylists puts in the conditioner ask them to leave in about 5Minutes.. this will help too. but other than that i say GO FOR IT!!! i dying my hair blonde here in a couple of months and i have brown hair. :)

i always say go big or stay home!!! :) hope this helps:)

  2. i dont know what pounds are but any process we do to our hair damages it.  even brushing.  i use vitamin e on my hair to deep condition it and also makes it grow with regular trims of course. its cheap and really great stuff.  i use a pick or wide tooth comb to comb my hair. when i had my hair done blonde it took about 60 to 75 dollars a pop.  my hair is long and very very thick.  so go figure.  good luck

  3. You could just get blond highlights, they might look better then having your hair blond.

  4. My friend got her hair dyed at the salon from brown to loads

of blonde streaks gradualy going up to blonde , i wouldnt reccomend going straight blonde , as my friend even though she only has streaks hair is realy damaged , and it wouldnt cost more than that , depending on salon

    xo

  5. I use to hair blonde hair al through school and college days, It was nightmare, The colour would fade  and go yellowy or grey-ey. The damage was bad, it would split and be dry and it was just nasty. The maintanece of keeping the roots up is going to cost you about 80 every 6 weeks. And teh more you colour the more you ruin your hair. esp. if you use bleach stuff.

Im in london and 80 is NOT going to get a professional hair colour at any decent hair dressers. My hair cut costs between 50-85 pound at my highstreet salon.
