  1. i think that's unfair - its ur hair, do wut u want.

  2. yes that seems unfair and it seems like u dont even want to go drastic like most kids

  3. You should tell her that's it your hair and you should be able to choose the color. (:

  4. I find it very unfair.

  5. Can you get the shade she wants with lowlights in the shade you want?

  6. I think if you're old enough for your mom to say it's ok to dye your hair, she should let you choose your color, as long as you don't go too far off the deep end. ;-)

What shade of hair goes best with your skin? If you're white (pink) without olive or yellow tones, blonde may not look right, you may look bleached out. If you have tan or olive skin, blonde could look OK. A rich brown would look good on both white and tan tones of skin, as long as it's not too dark for your skin tone. Too dark and your skin will look old and every flaw will show up.

Would your mom let you try a semi-permanent hair color that you like? Clairol Natural Instincts lasts about 24 washes, usually about 6 weeks (unless you have fast growing grey roots). It can only lighten slightly, because it's low peroxide, but it can darken hair.

If you do decide to go blonder, highlights are probably the best way to go, easiest to upkeep. Lightening hair is not easy to do well, look around you. Have a professional do your hair if you go lighter, unless you have a friend who is good at highlights. You can highlight just on the top layer of your hair if you usually part your hair the same all the time. Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Multi-Lights highlighter kit is available for 4 shades of hair, from blonde to brown to red.

And if your highlights don't turn out well, you can sorta cover it up with Natural Instincts.

    Good luck!

  7. Yes...i dont see why as long as you dye ur hair why can't you dye it the way you want to. Your going to be wearing it...not her!
