Question:

Dying my hair: will this work?

Soo my hair is naturally blonde, but right now it is dyed a lighter shade of blonde...with about 6-7 inches grown out. My hair is long-ish so its a little less than half grown out. I DONT want to keep dying my hair, it was a mistake in the first place lol, and i just want my natural hair color to grow out so i can stop worrying about maintaining the color and stuff. So what i was wondering, is if i wait til my hair grows out a few more inches, and then pull it back into a ponytail right in the center of my head, and dye only the tail with a color closer to my natural one, will it look ok? Or is it a really bad idea?

I dont want to just dye all of it because my hair isnt the healthiest and i know it fries it, and if it isnt perfectly matching, then i dont want to start over trying to grow it out, when i've already been trying to grown it out and get rid of the dye in my hair for about a year.

I know it sounds dumb, but when you think about it, it kind of makes sense. So what do you guys think?

  1. what you need to do, is go to like walgreens and get color oops. it takes all the color out and returns it back to your natural color. its alot quicker, and much more guaranteed.

  2. it would work but dont pull it in a ponytail that wont work

  3. you will end up with two lines of demarkation (one where the natural color meets the chemical color) and one where the ponytail ends. go to a salon and have it done.
