Dying your hairr...???

Question

i have dyed it before, but this time i want to dye it black, dark black actually. anyways, my mom said i shouldn't because school starts in a week and if i am going to, that i should dye it the day before school.

mainly because she said if i dye it today, and then a week later you can see the hair growth and be able to tell, will it be that noticeable in just one week?

I have dyed my hair a couple weeks before school and my roots are already showing.

no it shouldnt be noticable in just one week. i went black like 2 weeks ago and you still cant see my roots.

Hair generally grows about 1/4" a month so that's 1/8 of an inch a week. You won't really be able to see 1/8" of new hair growth so I think it is ok to go ahead and dye your hair to make sure you like the result ( however, if you don't - lightening up dyed black hair is a whole other issue). You should keep up with your new color every 4-6 weeks. Hope this helps!!!

School starts on Tuesday right? If i were you I would do it on Sunday because the hair chemicals start to smell and it doesn't go away for two days.

& are you sure black? Im having a problem,because i dyed my hair black and i want to go to blond now and after you dye it black you cant really dye it another color so *warning*

but it IS a nice color.=]

and yes it will be noticeable in a week!!

black is okay no prob.

but you shouldnt plan to do it the day before skool becasue sometimes dye can make ur hair a little dry the next day its better if u do it now & no hair does not grow within a week like ur mom says it will & u wont be able to tell you died it within about 2 months at the most

I dye my hair black 2! lol

It fades kinda quickly (probably juss cuz I have a cheaper brand)

And within a week (depending on your natural color) u can usually see the roots.
