Dynamo Joe bidding to reach Showsec Scurry Cup Final for second year in succession
Although Dynamo Joe could not spark in the first round of Showsec Scurry Cup at Belle Vue, his chances of reaching the grand finale for the second year in succession remains high.
C. Weatherall’s charge is in a great position to present an excellent show in the second semi-final of Showsec Scurry Cup, taking place on Thursday, October 11th.
He came here after performing reasonably well at different venues. The June-09 son of Westmead Joe continued the great work, and ran superbly in the trials.
His act in the first round was not bad at all. He failed to trouble the winner, Drumna Ice, but beat rest of the pack with plenty of ease. Missing the crown only by 1¼ lengths was not more than an unlucky thing.
He is facing slightly weaker opposition this time, and has a wonderful chance of storming to the next round. Other contestants in the semi-final are: Drumcove Lad, Peckham Spring, Slick Seamist, Boherna Mac and Uh Oh Chongo.
According to the plan, the 260 metres clash will be commenced at 20:30 GMT. Just like the first semi-final, the winner of this meeting will get a prize of £150.
Even the slightest of errors will prove severe for Boherna Mac in this contest. The white and brindle dog was third on his previous outing. Slick Seamist ought to strip a lot fitter for recent exertion. The blue b***h was beaten by Klup in the first round.
Drumcove Lad can take a step closer to defending the title. The black dog, trained by C. Allsopp, was a narrow winner last time. He has plenty of potential, and can get the better of these.
Uh Oh Chongo is not an out-and-out sprinter, and has a tricky draw to overcome. Peckham Spring went well when successful in the first round. However, he needs to come up with even better to thrive today.
According to our calculations, the real battle is between Drumcove Lad and Dynamo Joe. Both hounds reached the final last year, and we expect the same this season. For today’s event, the latter should be preferred. We wish the best of luck to all.
