The former Torpedo Moscow head coach has lent support to Sergei Silkin after the Louders Russian Cup final defeat to Rubin Kazan at
Yekaterinburg stadium

Dynamo Moscow’s disappointing run of form continued as they lost the Russian Cup final 1-0 against Rubin Kazan at Yekaterinburg stadium on Wednesday. After a quiet first half where both the teams played defensive football, the
Kazan-based club managed to score the only goal of the match.
Roman Eremenko’s 30-yard stunner in the second-half was enough to seal the win for the Tatary. Rubin went onto protect their one-goal lead after getting in front.
There is little arguing that Dynamo’s cup defeat against Rubin coupled with poor league campaign has angered the fans, who want an imminent change in management after losing faith in the White-blues manager Sergei Silkin.
Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 suggest that the Moscow-based club is considering sacking Silkin, who took the managerial charge at Arena Khimki after the dismissal of Miodrag Bozovic last year.
In aftermath of the outcome, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladimir-c36322 Pilguy has lamented the Louders latest cup defeat against the Kamni. However, the former Kuban Krasnodar player backed Dynamo’s under-fire manager, by revealing that the Louders do not need
a change in management.
Pilguy believes that Silkin does not deserve criticism for the latest defeat, as he fielded a strong playing eleven against Rubin.
"Dynamo is not in the best condition at the moment. It’s not that they did not try their best. I think they did not do enough to win the cup. Ruby played better football and looked more cohesive and balanced team.
“I think Dynamo needs to continue with Silkin despite the latest defeat. I don’t know what persuaded the management to make that decision but I think they need to stick with their manager for another season. Dynamo does not need
a foreigner coach.” The Soviet Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Though, Dynamo have reached the domestic cup finals on three occasions in their entire history, they have only won it once. Pilguy admitted that the Moscow-based club have missed a decent opportunity to win their first trophy since
the inception of the Russian Premier League.
