Dynamo Moscow hotshot Sergei Kiriakov believes Zenit St. Petersburg would axe Aleksandr Bukharov
Senior analyst and former Russian international striker, Sergei Kiriakov, has identified the problems at Zenit St. Petersburg, revealing that the Russian champions need a striker to retain their Russian Premier League title.

that the midfield maestro has done enough for the Russian club, though, he expressed that age is not on the 33-year-old’s side and that it might be the time for change.
"The team always need one more player in the line of attack. Still Bukharov still cannot find himself in "Zenit" and shows not even close to that game, for which he was taken to the team for big money," said Kiriakov.
Bukharov has been plagued with injuries during his time with the Rubies but the promising striker was a part of the title winning Rubin squad. The 26-year-old made 68 appearances and scored 31 goals for the Kazan-based outfit. His capture was a highly anticipated
one much success expected, but it turned out to be a failure for Zenit.
“I can`t accomplish what I want to during the matches. Maybe the problem is with psychology. To be honest, I take all my failures on the field to heart, and that makes it hard on me sometimes. I had a similar period in Rubin, when it took me a long time
to recover after injury. I think things will get better, and I`m just going through a rough period.” The revealed his distress.
Sine-Belo-Golubye need to bolster their attack if they wish to defend their title. Zenit are currently at the second spot on the league table, trailing CSKA Moscow by four points at the end of Russian Championship’s first half.
