The Soviet Cup winner urged the Dinamiki not to sack their manager even if they fail to win the Russian Cup or qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The former Dynamo Moscow goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladimir-c36322 Pilguy, has lent his support to the Louders' under-fire manager, Sergei Silkin, despite a series of unpleasant results during the ongoing third Russian Premier League round.
The future of the Dinamiki boss is under scrutiny ever since the third league round has started.
If speculations are to be believed, the White-blues are keeping tabs on the former Zenit St. Petersburg coach, d**k Advocaat. However, Pilguy still believes that their current manager is the right man for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
The former Kuban Krasnodar shot-stopper backed Silkin, admitting that the Russian tactician needs a little appreciation for the hard work he has done over the years at Arena Khimki.
The 64-year-old Russian sees no reason why the Policemen would fail to qualify for the European spot given that they are at the second-spot and a point ahead of the third-placed Spartak Moscow at the moment.
With just two league games left to play, the Dinamiki are very much in the mix to claim a European spot. Dynamo will play the upcoming crunch league tie against Lokomotiv Moscow on the back of a 1-1 draw against Spartak Moscow
at Luzhniki stadium.
The Policemen will play the Russian Cup final against Rubin Kazan before playing the league meeting against the Parovozy.
“I don’t think that the Moscow-based club need to part company with Silkin
even if the Dinamiki fail to qualify for the Champions League and stumble in the final of the Cup. He has been a long servant at this club and deserves to get another chance.
“I don’t think the White-blues need a foreign coach with a huge reputation and big name. Silkin will find the solution to all the problems next season.” The Soviet Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Speaking on their recent results during the third league round, Pilguy expressed his satisfaction; however, he warned his former club against complacency and urged them to work harder.
