Dynamo Moscow’s Aleksandr Kokorin apologises to the fans after a seven-match ban – Football News
Dynamo Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kokorin-c4576, has apologised to the fans for being handed a seven-match ban by the Russian Football Union after finding the Russian International guilty of showing inappropriate behaviour
following their 0-1 defeat against Alania Vladikavkaz.
The 22-year-old, along with Balazs Dzsudzsak, was involved in a fight during the match which forced the match official to produce four red cards. Alania’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giorgi-Chanturia-c14929 were the two culprits
on the other side.
The disciplinary committee handed Kokorin a seven-match ban after inviting Kokorin and Dzsudzsak to a formal hearing.
The Hungarian International, on the other hand, escaped a lengthy ban and will serve the ideal three-match ban which comes into action following a sending off.
“I tried to explain everything because they had a video evidence to see all the details.
“The fight started all of a sudden when I was recovering after making a bad tackle. I was thinking about a yellow card but the situation got worse.
“I can only apologize to their fans and the club after the FTC made the verdict.
“My actions are due to the response of the opposition player, who tried to spit and abuse me.
“I was surprised to see what Alania explained in the meeting, it seemed completely different with what happened on the field,” The former Krylia Sovetov Samara man was quoted as saying.
The Moscow-based club dropped more points on the league table after suffering the pulsating defeat against Valery Gazzaev’s men on Sunday followed by a 1-1 draw against FC Krasnodar last week.
The Louders dropped down to the sixth spot with this defeat and will now play the final game of the ongoing campaign against Volga Nizhny Novgorod at Arena Khimki, searching for a European berth this season.
Currently, the White-blues are a point behind fifth and fourth placed Kuban Krasnodar and Spartak Moscow respectively. Dynamo needs to win the final game of the season should they want to keep alive their slim
hopes of securing European qualification this season.
