Dynamo Swim Club wins Women’s 400m freestyle relay: Day Two – 2011 USA Swimming Sectionals
Dynamo Swim Club team dominated the Women’s 400m freestyle relay on the second day of the 2011 USA Swimming Sectionals on Friday, July 15, 2011. The event was held in Athens, Georgia, USA.
The team comprised of four freestyle swimmers including Nicole A Stafford, Kylie N Stewart, Caitlin M Cooper and Jamie A Christy, whose phenomenal swims paved the way of Dynamo Club for the gold medal. The Club won gold medal in a wonderful time of 3 minutes
and 53.23 seconds, staying almost two seconds away from their following team, Mor Wolfpack Aquatics.
Wolfpack Aquatics won the silver medal of the event, by touching the wall in 3 minutes and 55.16 seconds. Lakeside Swim Team captured the third position of the event, by submitting a time of 3 minutes and 56.70 seconds.
Stafford was the first swimmer of Dynamo, who completed her 100m in 58.12 seconds. The second swimmer of the team was Stewart, who completed her swim in a fastest time of 57.34 seconds. Cooper and Christy were the third and fourth fastest swimmers who ended
their swims in 58.96 and 58.81 seconds, respectively.
In addition, the fourth position of the event was occupied by Greensboro Swimming Association, who remained almost one second away from the bronze medallist and clocked a time of 3 minutes and 57.24 seconds. Greensboro was only 0.26 seconds ahead of their
closest competitor, Swim Mac Carolina, who settled on the finishing wall for fifth position, by submitting a time of 3 minutes and 57.50 seconds.
Stingrays Swimming team appeared on the finishing wall for the sixth fastest spot, as they completed their race in a time of 3 minutes and 58.38 seconds. They were followed by the team of Duke Aquatics, who remained only 0.05 seconds slower than seventh
finisher and earned eighth fastest spot of the race in a time of 3 minutes and 58.77 seconds.
Furthermore, the winning teams were awarded with accolades after the completion of the session, while the arena appreciated the efforts of all participating teams, who raced against each other for a podium finish.
